Mayan Princess MoyMoy

Dr. Sketchy Akron (preemptively) celebrated the end of the world with the magnificent Mayan princess MoyMoy. Somehow, between the beers, I managed to do this.

Dr Sketchy CLE, Eartha Hitt

A few drawings from last night's Dr. Sketchy Cleveland, featuring "Eartha Hitt".  These are all 20 minute poses, finished afterwards, drawn with black ballpoint pen and whiteout on white paper.

This one is probably my favorite, I wish that I would've had larger paper for her feet.

Darkwing Jones

Darkwing Duck, plus Indiana Jones, equals this drawing.

Drawn for the Rustbelt Monster Collective's "Disney Lucasfilm mashup" round.

See the full color version here

I don't know what it says about my art, but after hours of turning this into a full color illustration, I find that I really enjoy looking at the clean line drawing as a finished image.

Murray Hill 11-14-2012

A few drawings from last night's session at Murray Hill.
Drawn with a Bic pen and some whiteout.

40 minute pose + some extra rendering later, pretty happy with this one.

I went to dark on the arm so I tried to balance it out by darkening the rest, probably too much.

A few things (proportionally) got away from me but, for the most part I'm happy with this one, she has character.

Day 31: Astivim

This guy is a character I designed at my old job, drawing for a trading card game. There were such big plans for him, it's too bad it died, but I still like him. Original Card Art

Hey! That's one drawing for everyday the whole month of August, (for the most part, I made it - a few missed days, a few double drawing days). It was harder then I thought it would be, but worth it. On to September (we'll see what happens).

Day 30: Robin

Gotham City stake-out. "Robin" is much cooler as a girl.

Day 29: Dr. Zoidberg

"I've performed a few mercy killings."

Day 28: O.M.A.C.

Another cool under-appreciated "Kirby" character.

Day 27: Future Foundation Spidey

Spidey's new(last year) FF costume.

Day 26: Invincible

Well, they can't all be winners, I liked the pose in my sketch but lost steam at some point.

Day 25: Etrigan the Demon

One of the many lesser known cool "Kirby" creations.

Day 24: Wolverine

He's the best there is at what he does...which apparently, drunk me, thinks is looking badass with a lollypop.

Day 23: Drink & Draw CLE #3

The Bride of Frankenstein shooting werwolves.

We had a contest to draw our best/worst 90's "Rob Liefeld type" drawing.

Day 22: Cyclops

Haven't drawn him in forever, it was kinda fun.

Day 21: Abe Sapien

I usually feel disappointed with my sketches, but I really like this one.

Day 20: Walter White

Great show, great vilain.

Day 19: the Worthy

"Whosoever holds this hammer, if he be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor." Captain America wielding Thor's hammer.

Day 18: the Lizard

The Lizard by me (age 30), background assist by Etcher (age 4).

Day 17: the Monarch

The vilains are always more fun to draw.

Day 16: Link

My favorite videogame series, nuff' said.

Day 15: Thor

I love to draw this guy, probably because I not so secretly wish that I was a viking thunder god.

Day 14: Ant Man

I can honestly say that I have never drawn him before. This is the last one for now, more to come soon.

Day 13: Tars Tarkas

Man, Burroughs's Mars stories are so awesome.

Day 12: Wonder Woman

I love drawing her soooo much.

Dat 11: Joker

The unofficial Bat-villain theme continues.

Day 10: The Thing

Eh, I can never draw him the way I imagine him in my head. Maybe next time.

Day 9: Catwoman

Hey this one didn't turn out half bad. More markers, less pen.

Day 8: Mr. Freeze

Aarrggg... my markers died halfway through this one.

Day 7: Hobgoblin

Some french grey "Prismacolor" markers for added value.

Day 6: Apocalypse Then

Inking with a "Pitt" Brush Pen.
